April Leigh Belcher, age 44, of Aragon, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, May 11, 2026.

April was born in Rome, GA, on June 21, 1981, daughter of Benny Powell, Sr., and the late Rita Hayes Powell. She had lived all her life in Polk County and was a devoted housewife and homemaker. April enjoyed fishing, visiting the mountains, and taking photographs. She was an avid fan of Dolly Parton. April loved caring for her dogs.

April is survived by her husband, Richard Belcher; children, Katelyn Pope (Tyler), and Chevy Ballard; grandson, Gage Pope; father, Benny Powell; brother, Ben Powell. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

A memorial service for April will be held on Friday evening, May 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

April’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m.
