Becki Presley

Mrs. Becki Presley, age 51, of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in a Rome medical center.


Becki was born in Polk County on February 29, 1960 a daughter of the late Preston Whitman and Pauline Causey Whitman. She had lived all of her life in Polk County where she was a 1977 graduate of Rockmart High School. Becki was a member of the Lake View Baptist Church. She was the owner/operator of DBK Properties. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Whitman.


Survivors include her husband, Dean Presley; daughter, Kelly Presley and two grandchildren: Presley Sosebee and Camden Mercer all of Rockmart; two sisters: Marcia Swan, Rockmart and Sherry Schmelzer, Ellijay; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eddy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.


Pallbearers will include: Anthony Bowman, Charles Mercer, Loran Hulsey, Marlin Tant, Eric Mercer and Walker Sosebee.


The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
