Benny Leroy Duncan, age 69, of Aragon, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, July 28, 2026.

Benny was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on November 18, 1956, the beloved son of the late James Thomas Duncan and Lottie Redden Duncan. A lifelong resident of Polk County, he built a respected career as a master drywall contractor.

Benny attended Silver Creek Church of God and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a talent for wood carving, creating pieces with patience and care, and took pride in working in his garden, where he enjoyed spending peaceful hours outdoors. He will be remembered as a hardworking man with a quiet spirit who appreciated the beauty found in faith, family, and the things he created with his own hands.

In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by brothers, Claudie, Raymond, R.C., Marvin, Johnny, and J.W., and by sisters, Ludie Busbu, Sudie Cumbaa, and Nancy Babb.

Benny is survived by four children, Kayda Duncan Lyons, Matthew Duncan, Mindy Bagwell, and Benjamin Duncan; two sisters, Ruby Redden and Jamie Duncan; brother, Randy Duncan; four grandchildren, Lexi Baker, Zachariah Miller, Karoline Miller, and Andrew Duncan. Two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Benny will be held on Friday afternoon, July 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Wimberly Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Benny’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Steven Redden, Chris Duncan, Donald Jacobs, Michael Lary, Zachariah Miller, Danny Busby, and Trey Gaskin.
