Betty Jo Lindsey

Mrs. Betty Jo Lindsey, age 91, of Rockmart, GA, (the Yorkville community), passed away Thursday evening, May 4, 2023.

Mrs. Lindsey was born in Cedartown, GA, on April 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Lonzo Adkins and Ester Finley Adkins. She lived her early adult life in Mableton, GA, prior to moving to Rockmart in 1987. Mrs. Lindsey was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed cooking and sewing.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her husband, George Paul Lindsey, three brothers, Euzell Adkins, Alton Adkins, and Ad Adkins, and a sister, Shelby Forrister.

Mrs. Lindsey is survived by two sons, Rev. Don Lindsey (Debbie), and Rev. Dave Lindsey (Tina), all of Rockmart. Five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Private graveside and interment services for Mrs. Lindsey will be held at Northview Cemetery in Cedartown with her son, Rev. Dave Lindsey, officiating.
