Bill E. Brown

Mr. Bill E. Brown, age 64, of 1048 Cedartown Highway Rockmart passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the local nursing center.


He was born on October 9, 1945 a son of John E. Brown and Pauline Davis Brown. Mr. Brown had lived in Rockmart all of his life and was a former bookkeeper for Billy Ballew Motor Company. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline Brown, his step mother, Mary Brown Dyer, by a brother, Kenneth Jackie Brown and a nephew Chris Brown.


Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Johnnie Sue Woodruff, Avon Park, FL; one niece, Mrs. Tina Williams, Rockmart; two nephews: Mr. Tony Brown, Rockmart and Mr. John Hood, Blue Ridge, GA; sister in law, Mrs. Fronnie Mae Brown, Rockmart; and best friend, Mr. Irvin Austin, Rockmart.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hoyt Lewis officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Leon Cook, Irvin Austin, Tony Brown, John Hood, Jimmy Lester and Dr. Harry Harris. Mr. E. W. (Bill ) Carlton, Jr. will serve as an honorary pallbearer.


The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
