Billy Ledford

Mr. Billy Ledford, age 60, of Cartersville, GA, passed away Sunday morning, September 14, 2025.

Billy was born on August 15, 1965, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Billy Ledford and Shirley Daughtrey Ledford. A resident of Georgia since 1980, Billy was a dedicated and hardworking individual who took great pride in his craft. He was a self-employed master-craft carpenter, known for his skill and attention to detail.

Outside of work, Billy was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and riding four-wheelers—activities that reflected his love for nature and adventure.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Ledford, Michael Ledford, and Mark Ledford; additional father, Lee Mihalek .

Billy is survived by his children, Kristy (Alex) Waterman, Wesley (Michelle) Ledford, Misty (David) Bohannon, Amy (Luke) Smith, and Walker Ledford; sister, Sherri (Terry) Byess; brother, Daniel Ledford. Twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Billy will be held on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Mr. Butch Cole officiating.

Billy’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
