Billy Joe Sims

Mr. Billy Joe Sims, age 82, of Dallas, GA, passed away Sunday morning, July 27, 2025.

Billy was born on July 11, 1943, in Buchanan, GA, a son of the late Walter B. Sims and Nora Moon Sims. He spent most of his life in Paulding County and graduated from Dallas High School in 1959.

A proud and dedicated veteran, Billy honorably served his country in the United States Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard, including service during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, he continued his commitment to excellence by working at Lockheed for several years.

Billy had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and generously gave his time as a volunteer at the local animal shelter. His kindness, service, and compassion will be remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by several cousins.

Billy is survived by cousins and several other family members and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, Billy will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
