Mrs. Brenda Faye Chapman, age 74, of Aragon, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, May 26, 2026, at her residence.

Brenda was born in Rome, Georgia, on December 21, 1951, daughter of the late Dolphis William Smith and Winnie Camp Smith. She had lived the greater part of her life in Rome before moving to Aragon in 2024. Brenda retired from Dollar General after many years of dedicated service. She enjoyed sewing, watching her soap operas, cooking, and was an avid fan of Randy Owen and the country music band Alabama. Above all, Brenda cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Chapman, grandson, David Cody Sisson, goddaughter, Sherry Lynn Farmer, and brothers, Terrell Smith, Howard Smith, and Albert Smith.

Brenda is survived by four daughters, Lisa Sisson (Lee), Ann Floyd (Jeff), Essie Cumbaa (Robert), and Christy Henderson (Steven); two god sons, Robert Farmer (Carrie) and Lee Farmer (Heather); sister, Sharon Gaddison; brother, Ralph Smith. Thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chapman will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies given by the family. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
