Mrs. Brenda Faye Lester, age 60, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, March 18, 2026.

Brenda was born in Rockmart on February 1, 1966, the daughter of Thomas Junior Weaver and the late Dorothy Jean Clark Weaver. She was a lifelong resident of Rockmart and had been a faithful member of Morning View Baptist Church since July of 1976. Brenda worked for Core-Mark for a number of years, where she served as a returns supervisor.

She enjoyed spending time in Cherokee, NC, where she loved hiking, as well as visiting the beach. Above all, Brenda’s greatest joy was her faith, her church, and the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. She especially loved the Christmas season.

In addition to her mother, Brenda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Betsy Mae Clark.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Donald Wayne Lester, whom she married June 9, 1984; two sons, Thomas Lester (Sarah), and Justin Lester (Kaley); daughter, Madison Grote (Dylan); four grandchildren, Alivia Lester, Kenneth Lester, Emmett Lester, and Warren Lester; father, Thomas Junior Weaver; sisters, Debbie Hulsey (Ricky), and Patsy Jarvis. Several nieces, nephews and her beloved dog, Leah, also survive.

Funeral services for Brenda will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Morning View Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hulsey and Rev. Junior Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Clark in charge of graveside rites. Brenda will lie in-state at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Brenda’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday evening, March 20, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Ricky Hulsey, Dylan Grote, Dakota O’Neal, Thomas Lester, Justin Lester, Lander Lester. Honorary pallbearers will include Kenneth Lester, Emmett Lester, and Warren Lester.
