Brenda Sue Baines

Ms. Brenda Sue Baines, age 61, of 128 Old Cartersville Road, Rockmart passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 following a brief illness.


Brenda was born in Rockmart, GA on September 24, 1946 a daughter of the late Starling Robinson and Vera Evans Robinson. She had lived the greater part of her life in Rockmart and was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church. Ms. Baines was a Registered Nurse and had worked for the Rockmart-Aragon Hospital, Floyd Medical Center and Northwest Regional Hospital.


She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Baines in 1967 and by a brother, Dwayne Robinson in 2005.


Survivors include, Mr. Jackie Baines of Rockmart; two sons: Mr. Gary Baines, Rockmart and Mr. Brian Baines of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Cooper, Albany, GA; three brothers: Mr. Edward Robinson, Rome, Mr. Stanley Robinson, Monticello, GA and Mr. Glenn Robinson, Rockmart; three grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 24th at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Carlton officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Wayne Miller, James Waits, Steve Womack, David Bowman, Anthony Bowman and Wayne Baines.


The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
