Mr. Bryan Paul Smith, age 52, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.

Mr. Smith was born on July 9, 1969 in Rockmart, GA, to his parents: Paul Smith and Rae White Smith. Bryan lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a Rockmart High School Graduate. After graduating high school Bryan attended The University of Georgia where he received his undergrad and masters degrees. Following The University of Georgia, he attended Emory University and Penn State University. While in school, he was a member of the Glee Club and enjoyed singing as well as being a member of The Red Coat Marching Band. He loved literature, especially Shakespeare, collecting comic books and was a big science fiction fan. He also was a lifetime UGA fan! Bryan was a member of First Baptist Church and worked for Polk County School District as an educator. Mr. Smith was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Rae White Smith.

Bryan is survived by his loving wife, Fran Smith, children: Sean Smith, Sara Smith and Shepherd Smith, father, Paul Smith, brothers: Mark Smith and David Smith and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Memorial Services for Mr. Smith will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Rockmart First Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Odom officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to Family Savings Credit Union to help with Mr. Smith’s children’s college savings account.
