Caroline Christine Pruitt

Ms. Caroline Christine Pruitt, age 78, of Cartersville, GA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Born November 28, 1946, in Americus, Georgia, Caroline was the daughter of the late James Pruitt and Inez Ingram Pruitt. She made her home in Bartow County for most of her life and lived out her faith as a member of the Baptist church.

Caroline was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit. She spent many years with Belk, where she retired as store manager. Her career was not just about the work, but about the people she met and the relationships she built along the way. She loved people. Caroline had a vibrant personality. She adored the color red, delighted in celebrating holidays (especially Christmas), and never missed an opportunity to capture memories through taking photos. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved son, Shane Thacker.

Caroline is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Rick) Hicks, son, Jonathan Thacker, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Pruitt will be cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pam, Nikki, Carrie, Melissa, Candance, Faith, Mary and the hospice nurses for the care given to Mrs. Pruitt and the family
