Carolyn Dye

Mrs. Carolyn Dye, age 68, of 110 Dye Road Rockmart passed away Thursday, February 17, 2011 in a Rome medical center following several months of illness.


She was born in Boaz, AL on August 15, 1942 a daughter of the late James Crawford and Ivelvia Murdock Crawford. Mrs. Dye was a homemaker and had been a resident of Rockmart since 1978 moving here from Cedartown. She was preceded in death by a son, James Stanley Meadows and by a granddaughter, Alecia Meadows.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. David Dye of Rockmart to whom she was married on November 25, 1978; a son, Mr. Steve Meadows, Rockmart; a brother, Mr. Jimmy Lee Crawford, Rockmart; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Searles and Rev. David Searles officiating.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
