Charles Warner "Hobie" Scoggins

February 5, 1958 — October 14, 2025

Charles Warner “Hobie” Scoggins, 67, of Aragon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, surrounded by the family who loved him so dearly.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 5, 1958, Hobie lived a life full of laughter, love, and loyalty. He married the love of his life, Linda Pinkard Scoggins, on April 29, 1975, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in devotion, strength, and family.

Hobie was a man with a big heart and a timeless soul. He had a deep love for Elvis Presley, Mopar muscle cars, and his faithful Dodge truck. His loyal dogs, Daisy, Elvis, and Rowdy were his constant companions and brought him endless joy. But above all, Hobie’s greatest pride and happiness came from his family — his children, Dustin Scoggins (Amanda Shuman Scoggins) and Chancie Scoggins Fuerstinger (Jody Cook), and his beloved grandsons, Donovan Scoggins, Lucien Fuerstinger, and Clive Cook.

He is also survived by his siblings Dewayne Scoggins (Debbie), Kathy Arp (David), and Chris Scoggins (Kellie), along with many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Hobie dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Hazel Tucker Scoggins, his brothers Ronnie and Ricky Scoggins, and his beloved dog Dingle.

Hobie will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, pickin' and grinnin', and the way his eyes lit up whenever he talked about the people he loved. His laughter, stories, and hugs will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A celebration of Hobie’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share memories, music, and love — just the way Hobie would have wanted.

“Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee,

How great Thou art, how great Thou art.” — Elvis Presley, “How Great Thou Art”
