Daniel F. Kemmerer

Mr. Daniel F. Kemmerer, Sr., age 80, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 in a Rome Medical Center.


He was born in Ridgway, PA on December 13, 1930 a son of the late Raymond J. Kemmerer and Mary DeGroat Kemmerer. Mr. Kemmerer had been a resident of Rockmart since 1997 moving here from New Smyrna Beach, FL. He was a member of the Aragon United Methodist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Kemmerer retired from the IBM Corporation as a service representative with thirty six years of service. He was preceded in death by a brother David Lee Kemmerer in 1979 and a sister Rosemary Lawther in 2003.


Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Ginger) Kemmerer of Rockmart to whom he was married on February 16, 1963; son, Daniel F. Kemmerer, Jr., Travelers Rest, S.C.; daughter, Sheila Kemmerer Glaze, Rockmart; two sisters: Barbara Ann Magrini, Ridgway, PA and Donna Mae Edge, East Dublin, GA; seven grandchildren also survive.


Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Aragon United Methodist Church with his Pastor the Rev. Andrew Woodworth officiating.
