Danny Michael Roberson

Rev. Danny Michael Roberson, age 62, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away suddenly Sunday, October 4, 2015.

He was born in Bartow County on March 15,1953, a son of the late Henry Charles Roberson and Maybell Beatrice Arp Roberson. He had been a resident of Bartow County the greater part of his life. Rev. Roberson had recently retired from the City of Cartersville. He had a great love for God and had been called to preach in September of 1975. Since that date he has served as pastor for Reynolds Chapel Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, McFall Baptist Church, Seney Baptist Church, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and Glory Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Sybil Barnette Roberson, to whom he was married on April 25, 1970; son, Danny M. Roberson II; two brothers: Jackie Roberson of Rockmart and Garry Roberson of Taylorsville; three sisters: Betty Morris and Brenda Roberson, both of Taylorsville, and Connie Harris.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Rob Miller and Rev. Donald Collum officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Rev. Roberson will lie instate at Emmanuel Baptist Church Thursday from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers for Rev. Roberson will include: David Edwards, Larry Roberson, Randy Barnette, Clay Barnette, Keith Cook, and Brandon Gentry. Honorary pallbearers are: Billy Deems and Jamie Barnette.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
