David Ronnie Griffith

Mr. David Ronnie Griffith, age 68, of Covington, GA passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 in McDonough, GA.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on March 19, 1949 a son of the late Otis Griffith and Ruby Shipman Griffith. Mr. Griffith had been a resident of Covington for the past twenty five years moving there from Cobb County. He was a member of the Callie Fuller Baptist Church and a retired painting contractor. Mr. Griffith enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Angie; by two brothers: Robert and Wayne and a sister Grace and her husband Bobby.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Dale Martin Griffith, Covington; two sons: David Griffith, Kennesaw and Billy Underwood, Covington; two sisters: Patricia and Velma Griffith both of Cartersville; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Callie Fuller Baptist Church of Monticello, GA with Rev. Charles Roper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4 until 6 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home, Rockmart.
