Mr. David Larry Thomas, age 75, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, July 29, 2026.

David was born in Cedartown, GA, on January 28, 1951, son of the late Joseph U. Thomas and Pearl B. Coalson Thomas. He had lived all his life in Polk and Bartow Counties and was a member of the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church. David was a self-employed property manager.

David is survived by his wife, Sherrye Puryear Thomas, whom he married April 27, 2019; sons, Chris Thomas (Jenny), and Chad Thomas (Stephanie); two step-children, Tabitha Seely, and Dakota Seely (Alichia); eight grandchildren, Lauren Thomas, Haley Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Landon Thomas, Ainslee Ginn, Bo Ginn, James A. Seely, and John Seely; brother, J.C. Thomas (Brenda); sister, Donna Blankenship. Several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive.

Funeral services for David will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 2, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Baily and Rev. Rusty Lanier officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Daivd will lie in-state at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.

David’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Saturday evening, August 1, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
