Dennis Ray Camp, age 68, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday morning, September 14, 2026.
Dennis was born in Rockmart on February 5, 1958, son of the late James Nathan Camp and Mary Elizabeth Duke Camp. A lifelong resident of Rockmart, he was a member of Morning View Baptist Church and was deeply rooted in the community he called home.
For more than 32 years, Dennis proudly owned and operated Camp’s Grave and Vault Services, where he dedicated his time and talents to serving families and funeral homes throughout Northwest Georgia. Through his work, he touched the lives of many and was known for the care and dependability he brought to those he served.
Outside of work, Dennis enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved taking vacations to the mountains, enjoying good meals at his favorite restaurants, and making memories along the way. Above all, Dennis cherished his family. They were the greatest part of his life, and the love he had for them was evident in all that he did.
Dennis will be remembered for his kind heart, his dedication to others, and, most of all, the love he shared with his family. His memory will remain a treasured part of the lives of all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Shea Swan Camp on August 28, 2025, granddaughter, Lakelyn Camp, sister, Becky Hicks, and brothers, Alan Camp, Tommy Camp, Larry Duke, and Jerry Duke.
Dennis is survived by three sons, Steven Camp (Kristina), J.T. Camp (Emily), and Wesley Camp (Hayley); four grandchildren, Taylor Camp, Addy Camp, Lawson Camp, and Eli Camp; three sisters, Vivian Pierce, Rosemary Cochran, and Brenda Jones; step-brothers, Sam Cole and Scotty Cole.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Alvis miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Eulogies will be given by Steven Camp and F.K. Jones. Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.
Dennis’ family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, September 15, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
