Mrs. Dianne Cooper, age 82, of Temple, GA (Haralson County), passed away Sunday morning, December 28, 2025.
Mrs. Cooper was born on October 16, 1943, to the late Cleo Bernice Ethridge and the late Helen Louise Fowler Ethridge. Dianne spent her childhood years in Atlanta, later living for 40 years in Mableton, before making Haralson County her home for the remainder of her life. She was a member of Northwest Drive Baptist Church in Atlanta and, after moving, attended Pisgah Road Baptist Church in Mableton. Upon relocating to Haralson County, she worshiped at Beulahland Baptist Church and Macedonia East Baptist Church.
Dianne devoted her life to serving children through her career as a lunchroom manager with the Cobb County School System. She had a joyful spirit and loved singing, participating in the Red Hat Society, gardening, working in her Dinker Park, cooking, and sharing her famous homemade biscuits. She especially enjoyed traveling with friends, attending car shows, and above all, spending time with her family and friends, who lovingly knew her as “Mama Di.”
In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Jean Ethridge.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Larry Cooper, to whom she married on September 8, 1961; her daughter, Angela Lynn Cooper D'Agostino (Mark); her son, Jabo Cooper; a granddaughter, Malory Dianne D'Agostino; and one great-granddaughter, Malinda Rose “RoseBud”. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Cooper will be held Friday, January 2, 2026, at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Woods officiating. Her son, Jabo Cooper will deliver the Eulogy.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 am until the service hour.
