Donald (Donnie) Sherman

Mr. Donald (Donnie) Sherman, age 77, of Taylorsville, GA passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Rome, GA on August 19, 1940, a son of Mr. & Mrs. Frank Sherman. He graduated from Model High School and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Mr. Sherman was a retired electrical engineer having worked for over thirty years with the Lockheed Aircraft Corporation. He was a member of the Morning View Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, cooking BBQ, building model cars and was quite a handy man. Mr. Sherman was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Fay Waters Sherman on November 21, 2014.

Survivors include a son, Frankie Sherman ( Kenzie Schorr), Taylorsville; sister, Margie Landrum, Ft. Worth, TX; nephew, Scott Landrum and niece, Debbie Holland.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
