Donald Pope

Mr. Donald Pope, age 60, of 4336 Collard Valley Road, Cedartown passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in a Rome Medical Center.

He was born in Polk County, GA on October 12, 1947 a son of the late Hughie Pope and Cora Lee Davenport Pope. Mr. Pope had lived his entire life in Polk County and was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired diesel mechanic.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lisa Fuller, Cedartown; three sons: Mr. Wayne Pope, Silver Creek, Mr. Jack Pope, Cedartown and Mr. Gary Pope, Cedartown; one sister, Mrs. Martha Pendley, Lindale; two brothers: Mr. Charles Pope, Rockmart and Mr. Jerry Pope, Ringgold, GA; eleven grandchildren also survive.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Friday, June 13 th. at 11:00 a.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Tim Deems officiating.

Pallbearers will include: Adam, Mickey, Ricky, Coy, Mark and Kenneth Pope. Olin Sisson and David Yarbrough will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
