Donna Majell Turner

Mrs. Donna Majell Turner, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, passed Saturday morning, August 30, 2025, at her residence.

Donna, born on July 3, 1948, in Rockmart, Georgia, spent most of her life in Polk County. She worked for many years as a dedicated seamstress with White Swann Manufacturing Company. A woman of strong Baptist faith, Donna found joy in the simple pleasures of life—reading, camping, and, most of all, spending cherished time with her family.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Mary Woods, a son, Kenneth Lamar Head, a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Haney, and brothers, Richard Head, James Head, and Ronnie Head.

Donna is survived by a daughter, Melissa Kay Hayes, and a brother, Larry Head. Seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services for Donna will be held on Thursday morning, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating.

Donna’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour.
