Doug Weaver, age 65, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday evening, April 5, 2026, at his residence.

Doug was born in Rockmart, GA, on November 2, 1960, the son of the late Calvin Eugene Weaver and Dorothy Fay Bright Weaver. He was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a 1978 graduate of Rockmart High School. Doug spent much of his life in Aragon before moving to Rockmart in 2007.

He was employed with Seaboard Coast Line (CSX) Railroad before dedicating over 29 years of service to MARTA. Following his retirement, Doug continued his work ethic with the City of Rockmart in the Public Works Department.

Doug was an avid fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed hunting and traveling to the mountains. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his grandson.

In addition to his mother and father, Doug was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dewight Campbell, and a nephew, Jason Campbell.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of almost 19 years, Stacey Locklear Weaver, whom he married May 18, 2007; son, Zach Weaver (Amanda); grandson, Zacary Weaver; sister, Belinda Campbell; nephew, Brent Campbell. Other loving family members also survive.

Funeral services for Doug will be held on Friday afternoon, April 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Edwards officiating. Doug’s son, Zach will deliver the eulogy.

Doug’s family will receive friends Friday at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made in Doug’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
