Ed Jackson

Mr. Ed Jackson, age 77, of Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013.

He was born in Polk County, GA on April 21, 1936 a son of the late Martin Jackson and Mattie Elizabeth Childers Jackson. Mr. Jackson had lived the greater part of his life in the Aragon area where he was a member of the West Aragon Church of Christ. He was a retired carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Olin Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Streetman Jackson of Aragon to whom he was married on February 24, 1985; son, Jeff Jackson, Rockmart; step son, Chad Tucker, Rockmart; John Hudgins of Centre, AL, who was raised as a son; a sister, Glenda Cannon and her husband Freddie, Lilburn, GA; two brothers: Charles Jackson, Griffin, GA and Gary Jackson and wife Lynn, Aragon; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 13th from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Jackson?s request was to be cremated and no formal services to follow.
