Forrest Lee Maxwell

Mr. Forrest Lee Maxwell. Age 84, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

Mr. Maxwell, born on December 13, 1940, in Aragon, GA, was the beloved son of the late Olin Maxwell and Mary Bell Waters Maxwell. He spent the majority of his life in Rockmart, GA.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Maxwell served his country with honor. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, spending time outside, and tending to yard work. He was always finding joy in piddling. He was also an attendee of the Rockmart Church of God.

In addition to his parents, Forrest was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Williams; and brother-in-law, Edward Williams.

Forrest is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dianne Chambers Maxwell; son Barry Maxwell; granddaughter, Bethany (Matt) Weingarten; bonus grandsons, Cayden Wheeler and Carson Wheeler; bonus granddaughter, Lacey Brinkley; sisters, Frances Abernathy and Janice Schildt; brothers, Ralph Maxwell and Larry Maxwell, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Kay Chambers. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Maxwell will be cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
