Frances Hazel Witcher

Mrs. Frances Hazel Witcher, age 82, of Creek Bank Road Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 in a Rome Medical Center.


She was born in Ider, Alabama on December 4, 1927 a daughter of the late Frank and Nora Kennedy Holden. Mrs. Witcher had lived in the Bremen area before moving to Polk County. She was a retired cake decorator having worked for Mac?s Bakery. Mrs. Witcher was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Earl Witcher on July 28, 1990; by her son, James Hurt and by a sister Mary Stockman.


Survivors include a daughter, Dale Hurt; a son, Hubert Hurt; a sister, Margaret Farr and a number of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery of Bremen, GA.


The family will receive friends Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
