Frankie Lamar Woods

Mr. Frankie Lamar Woods, age 69, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022.

Frankie was born November 27, 1952, in Cedartown, a son of the late Charlie Ivey Woods and Clara Ruth Smith Woods. He was a1971 graduate of Cedartown High School, had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County and was a truck driver for Air Liquide for a number of years. Frankie was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and enjoyed camping and fishing with his grandchildren. He was always working on cars and small engines. Frankie loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Chad Shaw, and two brothers, Jerry Wayne Woods, and Houston Ray Woods.

Frankie is survived by his wife, Susan Fields Woods, whom he married July 2, 2000; seven children: Ray Woods, Jeremy Woods, Shane Turner, Tim Overstreet, Chris Overstreet, Jeff Overstreet, and Kolton Woods; two sisters: Charlotte Kilgore and Sandra Goss; two brothers: Doug Woods and Roy Woods; twenty-two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a special niece, Tiffany Ruff; along with other relatives and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life for Frankie will be held Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. in the Rockmart Community Center, 604 Goodyear Avenue, Rockmart.

Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mr. Frankie Lamar Woods.
