Gerald Anderson Morris

Gerald Anderson Morris, age 83, of Rockmart, GA passed away Wednesday morning, December 24, 2025.

Gerald was born on April 15, 1942, in Paulding County, GA to the late Guy Morris and Zettie Arnold Morris. He was a faithful member of Bethel Methodist Church. Gerald was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in South Korea. He retired from the railroad, and he also spent time working for the Paulding County School System. In his earlier years, he enjoyed the outdoors through hunting, fishing, and golf.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Morris; brothers and sister-in-law, Billy and Joan Ratteree and Ben Kolb.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria Ratteree Morris; his son, Blake Morris (Trish); sisters, Ann Ratteree (Joe) and Elaine Atwood (Bob); and his sister-in-law, Patricia Kolb. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Morris will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Leslie Halchack and Rev. Sam Matthews officiating.

The family will receive friends at Bethel Methodist Church from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm.

Pallbearers will include Tim Ratteree, Keith Ratteree, Clark Carroll, Tim Mitchell, Rick Beal, and Bradley Sheldrake.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Bethel Methodist Church in memory of Mr. Morris.
