Gladys Roberson

Mrs. Gladys Roberson, age 72, of Aragon, GA passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her residence following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on October 23, 1943 a daughter of the late Ted and Allie Ruth Mitchell. Mrs. Roberson had lived the greater part of her life in Floyd County where she was a homemaker and a member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Leola Yarbrough.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Roberson, Aragon; two daughters: Conda Forsyth and husband Johnny, Aragon and Sandy Popham and husband Glen, Cedartown; two sons: William Roberson and wife Penny, Rome and Terry Roberson and wife Elizabeth, Aragon; sister, Sarah Ruth Garrett, Rockmart; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Roberson and Rev. James Guy officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Lemans Forsyth, Shane Forsyth, Ryan Forsyth, Matt Slayton, Pete Truman and Ricky Sisson.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
