Glenda Austin Brown

Mrs. Glenda Austin Brown, age 83, a former resident of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday morning, August 21, 2025, in Andrews, NC.

Mrs. Brown was born on August 30, 1941, in Aragon, Georgia, to the late Clarence Venson Austin and Hazel Brown Austin. She spent the majority of her life in Polk County, where she was a devoted member of Bellview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Austin Earwood; grandson, Benjamin Brown

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, Steven (Celesta) Brown, of Canton, GA, Darren (Dina) Brown, Holly Springs, GA, and Paula Brown (Sam) Jones, Andrews, NC; grandchildren, Audrey Kate Brown, Evan Brown, and Adam (Emily) Brown, Jesse (Kara) Brown, Kealy (Kaleb) Nix, and Kristie Smith; four great-grandchildren, Frances Brown, Hudson Brown, Skylar Smith, and Perry Nix; and brother, Irvin Austin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 24, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Tant and Rev. Billy Swift officiating. Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Jesse Brown, Adam Brown, Sam Jones, Leon Cook, Steven Brown, and Darren Brown.
