Glenda Faye Christopher Clemons

Mrs. Glenda Faye Christopher Clemons, age 69, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 in a Rome Medical Center.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on July 12, 1942 a daughter of the late Robert Fulton Montgomery and Hattie Mae Obar Montgomery. Faye had lived all of her life in Rockmart, attended Van Wert Baptist Church and was a former employee of Diamond Mills of Aragon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Montgomery.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Clemons of Rockmart to whom she was married on February 17, 1989; daughter, Deidra Arp and her husband Wayne, Rockmart; son, Robert (Robbie) Christopher, Rockmart; sister, Shirley Carter, Lithia Springs; brother, Tommy Montgomery, Rockmart; three grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Van Wert Baptist Church with Rev. James Brewer and Rev. Donnie Swift officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: David Arp, Mark Carroll, Lawrence Montgomery, Chip Gober, Chris Culver and Tony Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will include: Timmy Montgomery, Robbie Christopher and Johnny Carter.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
