Mrs. Glenda Kay Miller, age 84, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, June 16th, 2026.
Glenda was born on October 13, 1941, to the late Woodrow Wilson Kay and the late Wilma Essie Harris Kay. A lifelong resident of the Beulah community, she was a member of Rockmart Second Baptist Church. Glenda had a special love for flowers and plants, turning that passion into her business, Beulah Blooms, which she owned and operated. She found great joy in the outdoors, whether tending to her flowers, working on the farm, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her work ethic, caring spirit, and love for her family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Miller; her daughter, Jackie Green; her brother, Jimmy Kay; and her sister, Sue Porter.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Craig (David), and Jentsie Philpot (Joey); her son, Forrest Miller; 6 grandchildren, Cody Green (Kirsten), Hope Edwards, Callie Craig, Cole Craig, Curt Craig, and Grace Dalton (Ethan); several great-grandchildren, and her brother, Franklin Kay (Ellen). Several nieces also survive, as well as her lifelong best friend, Vera Tenney.
Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be held on Friday, June 19th, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery.
Glenda’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Thursday evening, June 18th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Pallbearers will include Cole Craig, Curt Craig, Cody Green, Aubrey Thomason, Joey Williams, and Ethan Dalton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to a charity of choice in memory of Mrs. Miller.
Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Glenda Kay Miller.
