Mrs. Glenda Carden Phillips, age 85, of Bremen, GA, a former resident of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday morning, September 24, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Rockmart on July 1, 1941, daughter of the late Lloyd Carden and Sarah Kirk Carden. A proud graduate of Rockmart High School, she spent much of her life in the Metro Atlanta area before eventually making her home in Bremen.

For many years, Mrs. Phillips worked in sales with Westvaco Paper Corporation, where she built lasting friendships throughout her career. She was a faithful member of Rockmart Second Baptist Church and especially cherished her time singing in the choir, sharing her love of music with others.

In her leisure time, Mrs. Phillips enjoyed visiting craft fairs, shopping, and traveling. Among her favorite destinations was Hawaii, where she loved making special memories and enjoying the beauty of the islands. She will be remembered for the warmth she shared with those around her and for the many memories she created throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband of over 65 years, Charles Ross Phillips, a brother, Harloyd Carden, and a sister, Myrtle Ritz.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Gale Phillips; grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Rebekah, Jeffrey, Alex, and Haley. Eight great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be held on Monday afternoon, September 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the Rockmart Second Baptist Church with Rev. David Warriner officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Phillips’ family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
