Gordon Leroy Polston, Jr.

Mr. Gordon Leroy Polston, Jr., age 68, of Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Mr. Polston spent the greater part of his life in Rockmart, where he dedicated thirty-six years of service to Statham Tire and Auto Repair. He was known for his love of fishing, his passion for NASCAR, and his enjoyment of working on cars. He also found joy in roller skating. Above all, Mr. Polston’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family, whom he loved deeply.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siter, Linda Lafferty.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Anderson Polston, to whom he married on August 7, 1993; children, Chad Williams (Shana), Stephanie Moody, Gordon L. Polston, III (Jennifer), Scott Williams (Krissy), and Casey Newberry (Mandy); thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Hoosline; and several nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Polston will be cremated following the visitation.
