Harriett B. Jackson

Mrs. Harriett Brown Brooks Jackson, age 89, formerly of Aragon, GA passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013 in a Rome nursing center following several months of declining health.

She was born in Polk County, GA on December23, 1923 a daughter of the late Porter Randolph Brown and Gertrude Ruby Wallace Brown. Mrs. Jackson had been a resident of the Cedar Hill Assisted Living Center for the past three years. She was a member of the Piedmont Avenue Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 321. Mrs. Jackson was a former employee of the Aragon Mill and K Mart. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. (Jim) Jackson on February 1, 2010 and by two brothers.

Survivors include nieces and nephews and a special care giver, Edith Deese of Cedartown.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. in the Aragon Cemetery with Rev. John Hooper officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Members of Davitte Lodge # 513 F. & A.M. will serve as pallbearers.
