Harry Floyd Patterson

Mr. Harry Floyd Patterson, age 76, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2025.

Mr. Patterson was born on June 29, 1949, in Rockmart, Georgia to the late Floyd Patterson and Marveen Hulsey Patterson Roberson.

Harry was self-employed as a skilled painter and wallpaper installer. He took great pride in his craft and was known for his attention to detail and work ethic. Outside of work, Harry found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing cards, watching movies, and especially enjoyed attending auctions, where he had a keen eye for antiques. Harry also cherished time spent fishing and being in nature.

Above all, Harry loved his family deeply. He was always ready with a helping hand, offering support to anyone in need. His generous nature and strong Baptist faith were guiding principles throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Patterson is preceded in death by his step-father, Calvin Roberson; sister, Peggy Smith; brother-in-law, Jerry Smith; and step-sister, Diane Morgan.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his brother, Larry (Carolyn) Patterson, Sr.; sister, Patricia (Mark) Stewart; step-brother, Eddie (Jackie) Roberson; aunt, Doris Waters; nieces and nephews, Denise (Todd) Wright, Celise (Bruce) McCarley, Larry (Katie) Patterson, Jr., Sonya Elliot, Wendy Jackson, Cheyenne Stewart, Crystal Stewart, and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Harry Floyd Patterson will be held Friday, September 5, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Thomason officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Patterson’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday from 1:00 pm until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Larry Patterson, Jr., Todd Wright, Landon Patterson, Marlin Wright, Levi Wright, and Bruce McCarley.
