Jackie Ray Gentry "Bit"

Mr. Jackie Ray Gentry “Bit”, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021in a tragic accident.

Jackie was born on July 31, 1972 in Taylorsville, GA, to Jackie and Shirley Gentry. “Bit” lived most of his life in the Taylorsville area and was a faithful member of Church of God of Union Assemble. He worked for Sod of Atlanta for many years. He was a big animal lover of all kinds! Mr. Gentry was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Gentry was preceded in death by his grandparents: Cecil and Sally Roberson; and Steward and Estelle Gentry.

“Bit” is survived by his loving parents: Jackie and Shirley Gentry of Taylorsville, GA, brother, Scott Gentry of Taylorsville, GA, sister, Sherry Brawner (Ronnie) of Cartersville, GA, daughter, Kayla Gentry of Taylorsville, GA, nieces: Tara Bagley (Ted) of Taylorsville, GA, Ciera Manning (John) of Taylorsville, GA, nephew, Brandon Gentry (Bree) of Taylorsville, GA, a number of great nieces and nephews, special aunts, uncles and other family members.

Funeral Services for Mr. Gentry will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Houston Eaton and Jesse Starns officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the service begins at 2:00 PM.

A private interment for Mr. Gentry will take place at Taylorsville Cemetery at a later date with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Brandon Gentry, Bobo Bagley, John Manning, Gavin Chapman, Jackson Bagley, Rodney Robinson and Boone Brawner.
