James B. Wheeler, Jr.

Mr. James Wheeler, age 42, of Taylorsville, GA passed away suddenly Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center.


James was born in Rockmart, GA on March 26, 1969 a son of James B. Wheeler, Sr. and Joyce Edwards Wheeler. He had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County and was a member of the Seney Baptist Church. James was a former employee of the Monitor Company of Cartersville. He was preceded in death by a son, Jake Wheeler and by his father, Rev. James B. Wheeler, Sr..


Survivors include his wife, Michelle Wheeler of Taylorsville to whom he was married on March 4, 2011; daughter, Faith Robinson, Rockmart; step son, Michael Phanmanee, Cartersville; step daughter, Leah Phanmanee, Taylorsville; mother, Joyce Wheeler, Aragon; sister, Melissa Hembree, Aragon; two brothers: David Wheeler and Jonathan Wheeler both of Aragon; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Bennett, Rev. Steven Moore and Rev. Josh Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Richard Kile, Mitchell Rice, Brent Williams, Allen Williams, Michael Phanmanee and Tyler Smith.


The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.


In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
