James Melvin Moody
February 18, 1950 — January 16, 2016
Mr. James Melvin Moody, age 65, of Cedartown, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 in a Rome medical center.
He was born in Rockmart, GA on February 18, 1950 a son of James Ivey Moody and Jennie Bea Brown Moody. Mr. Moody had lived all of his life in the Paulding and Polk county area. He was a self employed floor installer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Marie Moody.
Survivors include a daughter, Ginger Pinkard, Cedartown; son, Jamie Moody, Rockmart; grandchildren; Alan Pinkard Jr., Kayla Brand and Angel Barnette and great grandchildren; Jaycee and Jaxson Brand.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cowboy House of Praise on Cason Road in Cedartown, GA with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. A eulogy will be given by Michael Carter.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. James Melvin Moody.
