James Lee Williams

Mr. James Lee Williams, age 87, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024.

Mr. Williams was born in Rockmart on May 17, 1937, son of the late James Franklin Williams and Lillie Mae Benson Williams. He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Williams had worked with Chick Automotive and Marquett Cement. He enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a son, Gary Williams, a great-grandchild, brothers, John Frank Williams, and Carl Williams, sisters, Linda Brannon, Elsie Reynolds, Dorothy Wright, and Barbara Crowe.

Mr. Williams is survived by a son, Greg (Julie) Williams; daughter, Yvonne (Mark) McDowell; sister, Annie Folds. Five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive. 

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Williams will be cremated, and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
