Mr. J.B. Camp, age 88, of Cedartown, GA passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Mr. Camp was born on June 20, 1937, in Rockmart, GA, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Camp and the late Jackie Grace Marks Camp. A lifelong resident of Polk County, J.B. was deeply rooted in his community and lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and service.
He was of the Baptist faith and had a heartfelt love for Gospel music, which brought him joy and comfort throughout his life. Known for his generous spirit, J.B. found fulfillment in helping others during their times of need.
J.B. retired after many years of dedicated service at Owens Hardware in Rome, where he was a familiar and friendly face to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Camp; sister, Geneva Bentley; and brother, Nathaniel Camp.
J.B. is survived by his two sons, Lanny (Hattie) Camp and Tony (Melanie) Camp; three grandchildren, Zach Camp, Marlana Braswell, and Marquita Hallman; two brothers, Jerry Camp and Ray Camp; four sisters, Retha Cozart, Rebecca Davis, Jeanette Born, and Patricia Scarborough; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Camp will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.
