Jerry Samuel Roane

Mr. Jerry Samuel Roane, age 52, of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Orlando, FL on March 20, 1959, a son of Rita Barlow Gleadhill and the late Brian Gleadhill.He lived most of his life in England and had been a resident of the Rockmart area since October 0f 2011. Jerry was a thirteen year veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea and Germany. He loved football, soccer and playing darts. He was a former employee of ADT alarm systems.


Survivors include his mother, Rita Gleadhill, England; two brothers: Tony Roane, Columbia, SC and Darren Warner, Burlington, NC; two sisters: Sharon Billingham, Notingham, England and Heidi Dewsbury, Notingham, England; special friends: Thomas Hoffman, Beatrix Egerer, David Gilmore, Harold Keimig, Robert Cannon and Phil Majerus.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Dyer officiating.
