Mr. Jimmy Ray Fincher, age 67, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 15, 2026.
Jimmy was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on September 24, 1958, a beloved son of the late William E. “Red” Fincher and Frances Adaline Bollen Fincher. He spent the greater part of his life in Haralson and Polk counties and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. A hardworking man, Jimmy devoted his entire career to construction as a self-employed plumber, earning respect for his skill and dedication. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in hunting and fishing, especially when surrounded by nature’s quiet beauty. Above all, Jimmy treasured time spent with his family and grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie Fincher and Randy Fincher, and two sisters, Denise Lemon and Sybil Ploof.
Jimmy is survived by a daughter, Crystal (Randy) Turner; son, Caleb Fincher; step-son, Jonathan (Tana) Payton; sister, Velvet (Sammy) Smith; brother, Edward (Judy) Fincher; half-sister, Edna Morgan. Eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside and interment services for Jimmy will be held on Monday afternoon, January 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charles Dyer officiating.
Jimmy’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Randy Turner, Caleb Fincher, Jonathan Payton, Sammy Smith, Gary Pilgrim and Buddy Fincher.
