Joan Louise Hamilton

Mrs. Joan Louise Hamilton, age 75, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, December 27, 2022.

Joan was born in Gadsden, AL, on March 22, 1947, a daughter of the late Edward Stephens and Millie Lecroy Stephens. She had lived a lot of her life in California, moving to Rockmart eleven years ago. Joan was a housewife and homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hamilton, a grandson, Andrew Hamilton, a brother, Ronald Stephens, and a sister, Glenda Searcy.

Joan is survived by four children, Stephen (Shannon) Hamilton, Melissa (James) Dixon, Linda Hamilton, and Kristina (Charles) Vincent. A sister, Joyce Estes, ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Joan will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Clark officiating.

Joan’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home to help offset the families expenses.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements of Mrs. Joan Louise Hamilton.
