Joann Mcauley

Mrs. JoAnn McAuley, age 69, of Dawsonville, GA and formerly of Rockmart passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2105 in Dawsonville.

She was born in Aragon GA on July 5, 1946 a daughter of the late Herman and Dorothy Roberson. Mrs. McAuley had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past two years moving there from Rockmart. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John McAuley; by a son, Scott McAuley; by a daughter, Sherlyn Richenberger; and by two sisters: Sylvia Ingle and Kathy Roberson.

Survivors include a daughter, Dee McAuley, Dawsonville; sister, Paula Dover, Newnan; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Sutton, Rev. Archie Streetman and Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Michael Dover, Steven Dover, Alvin Dover, German Alegria, Sammy Jones and Wayne Ingle, Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
