John Calvin Jarvis, Jr.

Mr. John Calvin Jarvis, Jr., age 63, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025.

John was born in Marietta, GA, on December 20, 1961, a son of the late John Calvin Jarvis, Sr. and Barbara Jean Woodson Jarvis. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a floor covering installer. John attended Morning View Baptist Church and never met a stranger. He was an accomplished song writer and singer who had a love for music and playing his guitar. John always loved spending time with family and friends and loved people.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Jarvis.

John is survived by three daughters, Tonya Jarvis, April (Jason) Hulsey, and Janet Jarvis; grandchildren, Devon Hopkins, Cody Hopkins, Haley Jarrell, Ashley Jarrell, Heather Jarrell, Brandy O’Neal, Jacob O’Neal, Zachary O’Neal, Dakota O’Neal and Jaxon Hulsey; great-grandchildren, Emory Hopkins, Novaleigh Prime, Kyleigh Dorsey and Kinzlee Dorsey’ brother, Patrick (Kim) Jarvis; sister, Jean Burks; uncle, Sam (Barbara) Jarvis; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for John will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Patrick Jarvis and Donald Lester officiating.

John’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Grace Neema Ministries in John's memory.
