John "Richard" Porter

Mr. John “Richard” Porter, age 54, of Buchanan, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in a Chattanooga, TN, hospital.

Richard was born on September 26, 1969, son of the late R.J. Porter and Judy Mae Ezzell Porter.  He was a truck driver for many years and loved telling jokes.  He enjoyed watching scary movies and spending time with his children.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Savannah Porter.

Richard is survived by a daughter, Ashley Porter (Kade Mason); two sons, Bryan Porter and John Porter; step-son, Josh (Faith) Moulder; brother, Tony Porter.

Memorial services for Richard will be held on Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Miller Academy Christian Church, 1855 Miller Academy Road, Bremen, GA 30110.
