Obituary

Mr. Johnny Wayne Cagle, age 71, of Rockmart, GA passed away on Wednesday afternoon, September 2, 2026.

Johnny was born March 11, 1955, in Canton, GA, to the late Lee Jack Cagle and Margie Bell Cagle. He spent the greater part of his life in Bartow County and had been a resident of Rockmart since 2021. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Johnny retired from Shaw Industries after 41 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement, he returned to the workforce as a security guard with Meggitt.

Johnny had a true passion for old cars. He enjoyed buying, selling, and restoring them, and could often be found working on a classic car or sharing his love of automobiles with others.

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Brian Jackson; his sister, Joan Rose; and his 4 brothers, James Cagle, Charles Cagle, Tony Cagle, and Stacy Cagle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Melissa Cagle; his son, Stephen Cagle (Staci); his daughter, Sierra Mann (Greg); his granddaughter, Kori Jackson; his sister, Janice Strand (Conly); and his brother, Mark Fennell (Freda). Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Johnny will be held on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Cabe officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cartersville, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Scott VanSeiver, Mike Byess, Bo Cagle, Richard Hardin, Jesse Hert, and Tyler Cabe.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heyman Hospice for the great love and care given to Johnny and his family.
