Joyce Elaine Takei

Mrs. Joyce Elaine Takei, age 75, of Sandy Springs, GA, and formerly of Cedartown, GA, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025.

Joyce was born in Cedartown on March 26, 1950, the daughter of the late Elanders Leslie and Madalene Frances Finley Leslie. She retired from Murata Electronics of Marietta in 2018 and enjoyed attending Cedartown Church of God. Joyce always loved working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshi Takei, a brother, David Leslie, and a sister, Linda Faye Dawson.

Joyce is survived by a niece, Nikki (John) Hart. Other family and friends include her ex-husband, Jerry Peugh, Jackie and J.B. Hart, Larry Smith, Charles Henderson, Kenneth Waits, Annette Lee, and Belinda Hart. Her fur-babies also survive, including Dexter, Lulu, Maggie, Trump, Lilly, Minie Mouse, Spikey, Snuggles, and Buckey.

In keeping with her wishes, Joyce will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
